    Step to
    trading online

    1. 01Open a securities account.
    2. 02Submit your completed Online Trading Application Form.
    3. 03Register an ID.
    4. 04Obtain your Online Certificate.
    5. 05Log in to your account.
    6. 06Choose the online trading system you prefer.

    How to open your account

    • If you do not currently reside in Korea
      1. Designate a standing proxy in Korea, such as a securities company or a bank.
      2. Your standing proxy files the investment registration with the Financial supervisory Service (FSS)
      3. You can open securities accounts with any securities company through your standing proxy (Your standing proxy submits your foreign Investment registration Number (IRN) issued by the FSS to the securities company you assign).
    • Log in to start trading.
      1. Visit on of the SK Securities branches nearby with the followings
        • Photocopy of Passport or other official documents evidencing one’s identify.
        • Alien registration Card.
      2. Fill out all the required application forms. If you also want to trade online, please fill out the Online Trading Application Form.
      3. If you application for online trading, please register your ID on our website. (www.sks.co.kr)

    How to trade online

    • Visit one of our branches to open your securities account.
    • Register your ID on our website (www.sks.co.kr)
      1. Click "ID registration" in the Customer Center (Upper part of the screen)
      2. Fill in your account number, initial password (which you wrote in the application form), your ID, ID password, transaction password and customer information.
      3. Click "Complete"
    • Log in to start trading.

      ※ If you forget your ID or password, you needs to unregister then re-register for security purposes.
      You need to visit one of our branches to cancel you ID. (Signature and identification are needed)

    Online Certificate

    An Online Certificate is like an online signature which enables you to authorize transaction in an online environment, just as you would sign and seal a contract in an offline environment. It is issued by certification authorities designated by the government and is sanctioned by the Signature Act and legally binding.

    • Please check the following before applying for your online certificate.
      1. Did you open an account?
      2. Did you apply for online trading?
      3. Did you register your ID?

    Commission rate

    When you trade stocks, you pay a certain percentage of the trade value as commission and tax. Each securities company applies different commission rate. When buying stocks, you only pay commission, but when selling stocks, you must pay commission and taxes (stock transaction and special taxes).
